Hosting migration
- You always have access to your website information. If you wish to download a snapshot or full-site backup of your website, you may do so from the Client Portal.
- You may use a downloaded snapshot to migrate your site from our hosting server at any time. If you’d like us to move your website from our hosting to another web host for you, a one-time cost of $100 will apply to cover the time required to migrate.
- Websites migrated to third-party hosting without a maintenance plan will lose access to the Pro versions of the premium plugins we provide our hosting clients. The plugins may lose some functionality, but will continue to work as expected.
Domain migration
- Web domains that are purchased through Capital Web Design are locked by default to prevent an unauthorized move to another registrar. If you wish to transfer your domain to another registrar, simply let us know. We will unlock the domain for transfer and provide you with the required EPP code.
